A local of Rochester, NY, Maria Victoria Savka received a BFA in Fine Arts Studio and a BFA in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Victoria was a selected finalist for the 2016 Society of Illustrator’s Student Scholarship Show and the ‘Biennial Project’’s Art Venice Biennale IV. She won Grand Prize in the 2016 Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival Poster Contest and has shown in various group exhibitions nationally and internationally; some galleries include Main Street Arts Gallery, Target Gallery, Topkinton Center for the Arts, and the Extra Art Gallery of Cairo. Her artwork has been included in Art House Press II, Canyon Voices, and Lake Affect Magazine and she is an active member of the Monotype Guild of New England and the Print Club of Rochester. Victoria lives in Scottsville, NY with family and their chickens. She is currently in pursuit of her Masters of Science for Teacher at RIT.
Among the variety of projects Victoria hopes to complete, her current focuses are drypoint animal monoprints, deconstructive painting, and her playful whimsical doodles.
